Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood’s custody battle just got more complicated, as her ex-boyfriend Andrew Glennon is demanding hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional child support and legal fees.

He requested the Portwood be given 10-hour visits three times a week with the toddler, to take place in California. This would require the MTV star to travel on her own dime from Indiana, where her daughter from a previous relationship, 12-year old Leah, lives.

As per The Ashley, the cinematographer wants to relocate to his mother’s home in Malibu. Court documents reveal he’s arguing that he’s been unable to find a job in his field since moving to Indiana to be close to Amber years ago.

Portwood’s legal team has responded to Glennon’s request in attempt to stop the motion from going through, and the case remains ongoing. But now, Glennon has also asked the court to increase Portwood’s child support payments.

According to The Sun, Glennon is seeking $150,000 in back child support – money he believes he’s owed dating back to 2019. His legal team has suggested Portwood begin making monthly payments of $1,000 In addition, Glennon is also requesting $20,000 to cover his legal fees on top of weekly child support. He’s asking for the 20 grand to be paid back immediately.

Glennon and Portwood have been embroiled in a custody battle since their contentious break-up nearly three years ago. The pair dated from 2017 to 2019 and welcomed their son in 2018. But by July 2019, they parted ways.

The news of their break-up made headlines after Portwood was arrested for domestic battery. Glennon claimed she assaulted him in front of their son. Portwood later reached a plea deal and was put on probation.

Glennon has maintained primary custody of their son since, with Portwood allowed weekly visitations. Part of their agreement was that James would no longer be filmed for Teen Mom OG.

Glennon and James were also allowed to live in Portwood’s $315,000 Indiana home, despite the reality star having bought the house independently of the relationship.

The former couple’s custody battle remains ongoing. “Amber wants 50/50 custody so James can have both his parents in his life,” a source told The Ashley of how Portwood hopes the case will pan out. “She loves her kids more than anything and sees no reason why her son should be separated from his mother.”
