Big Brother stars Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo were supposed to get married in December, but the ongoing COVID-pandemic has caused a change in those plans.
During an interview with Us Weekly, the couple revealed that their wedding has been moved until May of next year.
"We were very much looking forward to celebrating our wedding with a small group of close friends and family this December, but due to COVID-19, we had to make the difficult but necessary decision to postpone until May 2021," they said.
Earlier this week, Nicole posted a photo of the two on her Instagram page with the caption "Only ONE month til I MARRY this hunk #arroyalwedding."
Nicole and Victor starred together on Big Brother 18. It marked the former's second appearance on the show. Nicole was one of the four returning veterans that season; she was previously a houseguest on Big Brother 16.
Nicole defeated Paul Abrahamian in the finals of Big Brother 18 to win the $500,000 grand prize. Victor was voted as America's Favorite Houseguest, taking home his own prize of $25,000.
The two were only friends and allies during Big Brother 18, but they began dating after the show. The two returned (with other Big Brother alumni) on an episode of Big Brother 20, where Nicole accepted Victor's proposal.
Nicole and Victor also participated in The Amazing Race 31, finishing in fourth place. She returned for her third Big Brother season this summer; the cast consisted entirely of Big Brother All-Stars.
She advanced all the way to the final three with Cody Calafiore (who also played in Big Brother 16) and Enzo Palumbo. In a stunning move, Cody decided to evict Nicole and take Enzo to the very end.
Cody wound up winning the $500,000 prize by a unanimous 9-0 vote.
Although her Big Brother 22 game ended in heartbreaking fashion, Nicole surpassed Janelle Pierzina's record of most days spent in the Big Brother house. Her new (and likely unbreakable) record sits at 255 days.
Several Big Brother houseguests have been invited to their wedding, and it was brought up frequently during this season.
